Welcome to Follow Through 🐌✨
Essays to help you follow through on your biggest goals one small step at a time.
Hi, I’m Megan!
I’m a writer, recovering perfectionist, and habitual overthinker learning to make peace with the part of me that always wants to do more, be better, and fix everything.
Follow Through is a creative space for people like me: people who’ve spent years stuck in their own heads, trying to earn gold stars for being nice, productive, or "not too much."
This is a newsletter for anyone who's ever:
🌧️ Struggled to say “no”
😰 Been paralyzed by your own to-do list
🌀 Felt like starting was easy but finishing was impossible
🌱 Wanted to build a beautiful, meaningful life, but kept getting caught in the weeds
What you can expect:
I send out a personal essay (almost) every Thursday on a topic I’ve been actively working through: things like boundaries, burnout, healing your relationship with work, or learning how to rest without guilt.
Each one includes:
💭 Thursday Thoughts: A reflection or essay (sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy)
🗞️ Good News: 3-5 positive news stories from the past week (plus a few occasional pop culture pieces)
🎨 Mood Board: A set of memes and quotes (for the vibes)
On the first of each month, I send a Monthly Follow-Up with:
🔮 Looking Ahead: Affirmations & Mood Board for the coming month
🐌 How I’m following through: Updates on projects (+ how I’m following through on them)
📖 Book Nook: Short reviews for the books I’ve read the previous month
🌟 Hyper-fixations: Things I’ve been obsessing over (& think you’ll like, too!)
💾 Save these for later: A handful of articles worth reading
A little about me:
I’m a queer, neuro-divergent writer from the Midwest with a history of letting my inner critic run the show. I’m trying to do things differently now—with more compassion, clarity, and courage.
I love rom-coms, fireflies, musical theatre, Jellycats, New York City, iced matcha lattes, Zebra midliners, Thursdays, cookie dough ice cream, and reminding us all to move at our own pace.
If any of that resonates, welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
Looking for me online? This link will get you where you want to go!
Thank you for reading. I hope this space reminds you that it’s okay to take your time and still keep going. Slow and steady 🐌
